How can I get my lawn to be green and thick?

Question:Any home tricks or anything would be appreciated.

Answers:
My brother in law is a lawn care specialist and I've worked with him in the summers for 8 years. A few simple things to a yard's health would be plenty of water and also do NOT mow the yard to short. It makes the grass unhealthy. This is the most overlooked part of having a super green yard. People want to not mow as often so they mow shorter but that's bad especially come August when rain is not as frequent. I'd also fertilize several times in the Spring along with Grub Control. Finally, they have week control now that you can spray on grass that doesn't kill it but only kills the weeds. That really makes things nice.
One more thing, beware over fertilizing because it'll burn the yard and leave brown spots.

plenty of water is key
water it everyday n find some stuff for it at a garden place
Plenty of water atleast 2 times a day..and some fertilizer.keep the animals away
lawnfeed
quality seed and fertilizer. New mower: not a blade type but a rotary - works like sissors to cut the grass instead of beating it to death. Or make sure the blades are sharpened each time you use them.
Ma bye, you should water it. And not to the point to were all the dirt turns into mud. Stop walking and running in it. Another way how you can get that to happen is to stop having neighborhood or maybe even your own dogs. To stop peeing and pooping in your yard. Pee and Poop stop the process of the Grass Life. Hope you use this well.
Try zoysia grass.
Always lots of water. But you can use Urea lightly up to summer months, has high nitrogen content for growth. Also, can use Ammonia Sulfate for the real deep green look.

Be careful, WEEDS loves them too.
Lots of water, and the Scott's fertiliser applied four times Though the growing season..
They sell 4 different types, depending on the time of year, and what you want to accomplish. (I.E. crabgrass preventer, weed control, insect control, and winterizer)
It is perfectly natural for grass to turn yellow in the summer. Grass like most plants needs a dormant period, and it goes dormant in the hot dry summer. It's stupid to waste water to have a green lawn.
water it everyday, take all the weeds out, feritlize it, keep it cut, give more water, grass food, and more water.
Grass lawns need a lot of water so make sure you water it at least 2". Also apply timely lawn fertilizer like the Scotts Step 4 that you get in any hardware store.
You can always go tohttp://www.1800topsoil.com to see if they have a local pro servicing your area. They're national.
walk around it with old golf shoes.
Give it some diluted beer. Dousing.
Don't over water so roots grow deeper.

If you are open to saving water; Plant native
