Does anyone know if you can grow a new plant for a plant that you already have. It is a Aldershot Split Leaf.?
Question:I would like to start a new plant if anyone knows. The one I have is getting big and doing good, but would like to start a new one.
Answers:
Most plants u can start a new plant with the old one. Simply brag off a 'brench' of that plant...stick it into potting soil in a small pot...spray with water...put a bag over it to keep the moisture in... and put under a lamp and leave the lamp on night and day. This will make u a mini green house. the leaves will probably droop the fist few days but keep misting and watering ur plant and after a week or two pull it out gentle to c it has roots. if it does u can get rid of the bag but if it doesn't just stick it back in and keep it moist. If u want more than one just stick them all in the same pot and once they have roots u can plant them in their separate pots to expand. good luck.
You can take a rooting medium, pack it around a branch near the middle, wrap in saran wrap and leave for several months. When you unwrap it cut the branch off at the roots and replant. Doing it this way, the branch still receives nutrients and moisture from the plant itself.
