It looks like a common Daylily(Hemerocallis fulva)
If it had a very strong fragrance it could be Lemon Daylily(Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus)
They are a very hardy perennial that has a somewhat clumping manner.they do well in English gardens and as border plants.

I'm shocked I knew this, I grow them, all kinds, this is a yellow lily!! I have yellow, orange, white and stargazers-pink and white. Beautiful.
