Can I use a Scotts seed spreader to lime my yard?

Question:I usually walk around using a an old flour sifter to go over the yard but that it so time consuming. Can I use my Scotts seed spreader to put the lime down? If so, what setting should I use?
Thanks for your help.

Answers:
Yeah you can. Look on the bag. It should say what setting number to set the spreader to. I recommend using pelletized lime though, it's much easier to spread than the powdered lime. You might also think about spreading some pelletized gypsum on your yard too.
