What type of fruit tree can i grow in a pot or tub that will bear fruit i live in uk?

Question:

Answers:
Apples , Pears, Plums, Peaches, Lemons , Nectarines. ALL pot grown fruit trees require extreme dwarfing rootstocks. Fruit trees are grafted to rootstocks of various vigour, standard, dwarfing, semi-dwarfing, etc, to suit growing requirements. Apples are easy in LARGE pots with good SOIL based loam composts, never use light, peat based composts as they dry out rapidly and do not retain nutrients. Avoid overheating pots in blazing sun, roots are happier when shaded. Now very popular, pot grown fruits are freely available throughout UK.

Pear, Apple, or Cherry are good choices...use a big pot for the plant.
i just planted a semi dwarf navel orange tree in a wooden container and lemon trees as well.the container is square and 15in in diameter works well for an apartment patio.don 't forget the B-1 when transplanting.happy planting!
Miniature citrus trees.
You might contemplate blueberry bushes. They make great privacy screens (high bush grow 6' to 8' with delicate looking leaves and small white bell shaped flowers); and because their roots are shallow they make great container plants--not to mention the antioxidants found in the blueberries. Just mix 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 gardening soil, & 1/3 pathway bark with about a cup of azalea food--that keeps the pH right for growing. Don't let the roots dry out because summers can cause the roots to "cook" in any type of container plantings!
