My jade plant is dying! what do I do?
Question:can I fix it? I still have green spikes with leaves but the rest of it died and it looks like they dried out but it has been watered seldomly about once everu two weeks. Its been fine for months!
Answers:
they are happy in shade as well as sun. if in sun, need more water. twice a month should be fine, tho...i'm wondering if it was some kind root rot. save the "spikes" and replant them, but let the area dry up well first, to kill the rot in the soil, about a month to be safe. the spikes will last a long time before needing replanting.
try some miracle grow
It is a succulent plant meaning it doesn't need to be watered a lot. It either didn't get enough water, or it got too much water. If the leaves turned black before they dried up, then it got too much water. Usually if they dried up due to lack of water, that would take a long time for those leaves to dry up, so I doubt it got watered every 2 weeks.
Take the dead leaves off, and it should come back unless somebody dumped weed killer or any chemicals in it's soil.
throw it out and start over with another one. hope you don't have any pets or kids.
take off all of the dry/dead leaves, and give it a type of plant food or fertilizer which you can find in your local plant store. Do you have the plant in the sunlight?
