Best solution to kill LOTS and LOTS of chicory?

Question:I have almost an acre of land. Every year (not last yaer) my husband and I use Scotts Turf Builder Plus to keep our lawn beautiful and weed free. It has always worked in the past. This year we spread the stuff and although the grass looks great we are now experiencing a take over of chicory! This stuff grows super fast. A spray may not be practical since we have so much land. Any suggestions on a chicory weed killer that can be distributed by a spreader?

Answers:
Organically you can pull them out. But if you want to spray something down that works fast try Triple Threat. Contains 24D that will kill the chicory but not the grass.
1 gallon covers up to an acre. You can get it direct with free delivery here;

Good luck!

Location? Try using corn gluten instead of poisons (Scotts) to keep weed seeds from germinating. Actually, what do you have against chicory and what is so good about grass that you have to mow, apply poisons, water, etc.? Perhaps you could also consider adding a small varied orchard, etc., less water, etc. Chicory is very very easy to pull. An acre isn't large at all.
