both
decking
Make a pond.with coi fish.
poop on it
Grow a giant redwood.
Go for the deck!
I think stone would be very pretty!
deck... stone is too ugly
Decking for sure!! Theres many reasons why
I don't know what your backyard looks like, but I think stone always looks better than decking.
Decking is cool and easier to do
If you have kids beware of loose stones---they cant resist mucking about with them.
both, deck the first bit that you step out on to, then stone the rest, I have done that in my garden, from my back door I have around 8ft of decking the have put paving slabs down the rest of way, looks nice, and |I think decking it all would be really costly
Good luck
Stone - more hard-wearing, expensive
Decking - less hard-wearing unless you treatthe wood every year, less expensive.

I would put a small deck for table/ chairs. Then have stone beyond that. Perhaps some nice big pots of plants for decoration. Beyond the stone, an archway and a tiny bit of lawn beyond that.
Personally I would reccommend Stone or paving.
The thing to remember about decking is that you have to raise it above the ground and also leave spaces inbetween the boards for drainage!
This in turn then means that crumbs etc can fall through when you have a BBQ in the summer and eventually, because you cannot clean Under the deck, you can attract Rats and other vermin!
Don't want to put you off because they can look nice but beware!
Good luck!
Stone, every-ones decking its only a fad it will rot and you will have rats nesting under it in time.
gravel or coloured slate, and a patio using some nice riven slabs and a rotary patio area. we had a decking area on our show garden at work and it always seemed slippery underfoot.
do stone decking is a lovely nest for mice, rats and many other vermin.
I know you are gonna deck it babes..lol
i am a deck builder we use timber stone metal glass and wire just about anything we can so you can have both or something a bit bling bling good luck
Neither, help the environment plant it up. Encourage wildlife by planting things that birds, bees, etc. love and enjoy watching 'life' in your garden instead of 'dead' decking and stone.
