since I don't really have an answer I hesitated, but seeing as no one else has, here's my suggestion. Go to gardenweb.com/forums and look for either a Canadian forum or 'growing tomatoes' and ask there. There are lots of Canadians who read and post.

I found some Brandywine plants here in the middle of my small Canadian town, but at a small store, not at a chain store. You never know!
