Safe garden hoses (no Lead) ?

Question:I have been reading alot about garden hoses emitting lead and god knows what else. If anyone has done any research on this I would appreciate help. I dont intend to drink out of the hose. However, I would like to fill up kiddie pool and water vegetable garden.

Answers:
If you get a Drinking water hose, also known as a Potable Water hose, it will be listed as USFDA or NSF and you will be in the clear.

Swan (manufactured by Parker Hannifin) the "Cadillac" brand of garden hose, makes one that is WHITE with Chrome Plated fittings. These are often used for Campers/RV's and Boats.

Most of the major Garden hose manufacturers make something similar.

Likely any RV or Boat store will have this.

Most garden hoses are made of plastic or rubber, with brass ends. I fail to see where the lead would come from. Sounds like a hoax to me.
drinking water hose it is white ,very safe we use it in ourconcession trailers ,that's all we are allowed to use per. health dept. any diy make sure it says safe for drinking
I've heard that the vinyl components can leach into the water, but I thought that was what gave hose water it's great taste! I've not heard of lead issues, can you cite a source?
