Answers:
There are not any preventative products on the market that a homeowner can buy that are effective. As far as things you can do,Eliminate conducive conditions,Make sure there is no wood-soil contact, trees touching the home, moisture conditions in the home or against it,rotten wood is replaced and sealed, mulch is not piled against the house, and firewood is stored away from the home. The only products that will work are done by a professional,do not take shortcuts in protecting your home.Call a Pest Control Professional and have a proper treatment performed. The best products are baits.Sprays just scatter the ants and will result in a larger infestation
first find out where they are coming from and remove the product they are eating from your home, then sprinkle around some table salt. In addition, I like to use Joy dishing washing solution (mixed with water) to clean plants and rid them of bugs. The bugs get diarrhea from the soap and either don't return for a while, or don't return at all.
yess,,, and the ants make a delicious cracker topping after
Try baby powder. they breath it in and die
I think Wheat Thins would make ants very happy, it would be just the kind of thing they would love to eat. So no, I don't think that would get rid of them
My mother used to always use ground cloves along the doorways, which ants don't like and it's not poisonous to humans. Always worked for her. We don't have an ant problem here so I have not tried it myself.
Been having a bad ant problem. Don't know about Wheat Thins, but cleanser like Ajax and Comet has been working well. Find out where they're coming from and block their path by sprinkling it in a line. My problem now is they've started conimg in from different areas. I can't identify all of the areas.
Well, I don't know about you, but if I put down some wheat thins and all the ants died, I would never be able to eat a wheat thin again. I really doubt this is true, but maybe you could ask Nabisco. For all of us who like wheat thins.
I have not heard that about wheat thins. Table salt works; just don't put it on plants or grass or a garden.
