How do i keep animals from eating my sunflowers?

Question:I have tried for serveral years to grown sunflowers. They do well until in the seed starters and then when I go to plant them in the ground they dont last two days because the animals, bunnies, squirrels, and our resident chipmunk eat them. What can i do to save my sunflowers this year? In need of help.

Answers:
Red Pepper flakes. They won't harm the animal, but one nibble and they WON'T do it again. Sprinkle them liberally on the plant and reapply every few days as they wear off.

i heared that to stop deers 4rm messin w ur flowers u should get pee and put it around ur flowers bc they dnt like the smell of humans of something like that .sounds gross right??but i heared it works .mabey it will work 4 other animals to hoped i helped.o yea and moth balls for skunks
mothballs do a great job of keeping little rodents like bunnies away. Once you get the actual flower and seed head on the plant, take an old pair of pantyhose and stretch it over the flower to keep the birds from eating all your seeds.
Buy predator pee off the internet or at a nursery. My family uses mountain lion pee to keep deer out. It works great. You can buy coyote, fox, bobcat and mountain lion. They all stink going on, but that will fade for you and the critters will still hate it.
