What are the best herbs to plant for tea?

Question:

Answers:
There are so many herbs that you can make tea from; it really depends on your taste and where you live. For instance, if you live in hotter zones, you can grow Jasmine outdoors (I like Maid of Orleans.) If you don't live in a hotter zone, you can still keep jasmine plants inside; but of course, the important question is - do you like jasmine tea? Try it first. With a Maid of Orleans variety, yotu can simply pick flowers from the plant and throw them directly in hot water.
Another nice hot tea is chamomile, which tastes wonderful with honey and is very good for calming the nerves. (Chamomile is a great rinse to bring out blonde highlights, by the way.) I recommend growing chamomile from seedlings bought at a nursery rather than from seed; they die so easily from seed, it seems.
Peppermints (and any member of the mint family) grow easily in most American climates, but they are actually very invasive (basically weeds), so you would probably do better to grow mints in pots. A lot of people like hot mint tea, but some like iced mint tea as well. (Mint juleps are popular in hot weather, too.)
Anothe easy-to-grow herb for tea is lemon balm.
