What color are aphids on Rosebushes?
Question:They are all over in white color on the unopened buds. Can I spray them with mild dish soap and water? Help!

Well in any case the soap and water solution works..but here are my five cents...grin..apx 2 tbsp of dishsoap, apx 2 tbsp of oil(any vegetable type cooking oil), fill spraybottle with water and shake up. You can spray this even on your houseplants and it will not harm them.make sure to get the whole plant..I spray till it drips if the infestation is bad and most are dead the next day. Just be sure not to spray in the heat of the day, it will burn the leaves.
Usually aphids are greenish or bright yellow, but are sometimes white as well. And yes, mild soap and water solution sprayed on the roses will send them packing.

Aphids come in an array of colors, one being white.
Spraying with the dish soap solution is ok, but I prefer to put on a pair of gloves, put dish soap directly on the fingertips, and actually rub it on the buds. The bugs will harden and die as the soap dries in the sun.
Typically they're green.
I like to call them "chartreuse" a kind of greenish yellow. Anyhow, there are many ways of dealing with them. Dish soap and water are very popular just mix 1tsp of soap with water in a 1 quart spray bottle and spray away. I personally am not opposed to squishing them between my fingers. I kinda get a sense of satisfaction out of it.
They are a pale greenish-white. You should be able to knock them off with a good hard blast of water from your hose, they're soft-bodied and can't take it.
