Question:

Answers:
Trick is not to crack or shatter the planters
You did not tell us what they are made of, I have to assume they are terracotta
Use cordless, variable speed drill, use low speed
Use new sharp drill bit, small bit it better than large bit
drill very slowly to reduce vibration

A drill.
first , what type of material are the planters made out of?Then after knowing that you can best assesss the correct and easiest methods.Let's say the planter is made of soft wood, you can use a corded or cordless drill with a 1/4 inch drill bit for wood drilling. If the planter was metal you would need a metal drill bit because a wood drill bit wouldnt do it.After drilling the holes you need to run water thu them so you can see how quickly it drains, this will tell you how often you will need to water.Hope this advice helps, don't drill too big or too many holes because you will end up with dry soil and dead plants.
