Are my mange tout plants finished?

Question:I have been growing mangetout and got lots from the plants, they now look old and wilted. I can see a few new shoots coming off the old one's, but no mangetout are growing. Are they now finished for the season? Do i just pull them out now?

Answers:
It sounds like they are done for the season. You can wait and see if they send out more flowers but the peas you get will likely be low quality and sparse.

I'd say it is time to pull up the plants and put them on your compost pile.
