Why did my oriental lillies change color this year?

Question:The flowers were of the stargazer variety, are about 10 years old, & bloomed an ivory color this year.

Answers:
If you separated the "bulbs" last year, the orginal varital may have come through instead of the hybrid. I don't think soil, water, or temperature conditions would effect color that much.
