What causes mold or a white substance on roses after a spring cold weather kill of new foliage?

Question:

Answers:
It is called Powdery Mildew and it is a fungus usually appearing in early spring or any time there are extreme fluctuations in the weather. You can spray with a fungicide but consistant warm weather (day and night) will cure the problem on its own. It will not kill your roses, but just make them look like hell for a while. GOOD LUCK!

use funginex they sell it at home depot or lowes and it works . good luck and I hope you get rid of it soon .
