How do I keep cats out of my garden?

Question:Pepper & moth balls don't work, neither does coyote urine.

Answers:
Lemon oil drizzled around the area and in tins placed through out the garden should do the trick. Cats hate citrus smells.

Songbird is right... cats don't like fruit. Toss a few orange peelings around. Also, sprinkle some black pepper around. They'll get a case of the sneezes and will prefer to go somewhere else. That helps keep squirrels out, too. It's a bit of trouble, but spreading chicken wire will sure do the trick.
Try a dog...just kidding!
A small weave fence would work, but you's have to make it at least 5' tall, and no posts that a cat could balance on. Motion sensor lights or a recording or you hissing and making weird noises could also make them feel unwelcome.
I've also noticed that my cats hate the smell of pungent things like onions and garlic.
I suggest shooting them and making a fine stew(Just Kidding), you could always put up a fence
Mix cayenne pepper with water and add a small amount of dish washing soap to adhere to the grass, leaves and flowers. Spray the area with the mixture and cats will stay away.
