Go to the home depot or other hardware store. Purchase a product called "gopher bombs". no they don't explode!! read the directions but basically you uncover one of the holes at a time, place the GB in the hole, light it, cover the hole immediatley with a square of cardboard or heavy paper, and cover that over with dirt. Make sure you don't inhale the smoke! it creates a poison gas which travels down the hole to the burrogh and kills the gopher(s). You may have to do this to several holes as it sounds like you have a lot of gophers. This works very well. I have used all kinds of stuff, but this stuff really did it for my yard and garden.

Plug up all the holes and throw a hose down one hole and drown them.
Buy some anti-gopher spray.
a 22 rifle a bottle of jack daniels is how my great grandpa used to do it. if you put some spearmint gum on the end of one of those three prong traps you'll start catching gofer all the time. you can also trying playing that music from the movie caddyshack to try to coax him out
stick eatable poison down there hole.
Correct me if I'm wrong snapes lover, but if you kill all the golfers, they're gonna lock you up and throw away the key...
License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.
In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre, 'Au revoir, gopher'.

I saw somewhere where somebody formed woodland critters out of plastic explosives. Very Effective.
Just buy some humane cage traps. Then after you bait and catch them, relocate them. I do it with raccoons.
