Can I plant a "snake" plant ( mother in law tounge - outside?

Question:Hi, I have many mother in law tounge or snake plants as some people call them, they are very hardy and was wondering if I could plant them outside or what house plants do good outside. I live in Wisconsin and have alot of sandy soil.

Answers:
I grew this plant outside and it did very well, but they will die from frost and spread pretty easily, so you might want to plant it in a clay pot and then set the pot in the ground. That way you can pull it out in the fall and put it in the house or somewhere that doesn't freeze, and it won't spread where you don't want it.

yes but when winter comes you will have to put it in house because of cold . snake plant usually does better in a subtropical climate .
