I want to grow a mild green chile pepper. Varieties?

Question:I 'm looking for the same type of green chile that the diced canned green chiles are. What are they? Anaheim? Serrano? Other?

I live in zone 5 (suburb of Denver). It's too late to plant seeds, so I'm looking for a plant. What variety should I try? (NOTE -- I don't mean bell peppers, got those already).

Answers:
I grow serrano..It can be hot if you dont water often enough and let them grow long..But the flavor is great..Just water them once a day till overflowing and pick them before they are longer than your pinky finger and u will have a great pepper..If you want them really mild pick them when they are about half the length of your pinky..Also scoop out the membrane to keep from being too hot..
