What product will kill weeds but not flowers in a flower bed?

Question:

Answers:
Weed the bed thoroughly first, then spread bark pieces (available at nurseries), newspaper or grass clippings as mulch. Mulch suppresses weeds, slows moisture loss and keeps soil cooler. Use of any "killer" compound to remove the weeds risks loss of valued plants as well, and leaves bad residues in the soil.

I use newspaper. Place around plants and then use mulch, dirt, or old leaves on top. The paper will keep out the weeds, which I love and is biodegradable. It works great and also helps keep moisture in ground. Hope this helps!
Weeding by hand if you are able to recognize which plants coming up are weeds and which are flowers :-)

Newspaper and/or leaves would be the best choice. Be very careful if you decide to use bark mulch, especially near the house. Termites love to breed in the stuff....
