petunias- sun
inpatients-sun
geraniums-sun
dianthis-sun

oh don't forget coleus. They are easy to grow and some are for shade and some for full sun. They don't really have pretty blooms but the leaves are fantastic and come in all patterns and colors.
Lived in Sheboygan, try Azaleas... just keep the cat's away(they like to use the potter as a potty) Azaleas love acid soil, Lot's of sun and they can be transferred into the house during winter as a house plant.
