What are those little prickly things called that are found in grass?
Question:We called them "sand spurs" when I was little but I know that is not the correct name for them. They are hard,pricklyj, thorney and hurt really bad when you step on them barefoot. Then you have to try and take them out...ouch..!

There are many things like that, you might want to try showing a picture of one, and then someone might recognize it. If you are trying to find a scientific name, that is.

I called them "grass burrs" when I was a kid. Botanically speaking, they are seed husks.
