Are plant fertilizer and plant food two different things?
Question:
Answers:
Plant "food" is just a creative marketer's way to say fertilizer. Plants absorb their nutrients from the soil and photosynthesize these chemicals to make their "food".
Nope, same cat.
Not really. They both add nutrients to the soil so the plant benefits. They contain different amounts of the 3 main ingredients so check the package for what they contain and know what your plants need.
They are the same. Plants do not eat foods and break it down the way animals do. They absorb nutrients (found in soil minerals and additives we call fertilizer) and manufacture their own "food" (which captures the sun's energy in the food molecules) which they in turn break down (metabolize) to release energy and convert the minerals into "plant parts" such as leaves.
