What does it cost for labour to build a good neighbour fence?

Question:

Answers:
It depends on the type of fence, the type of wood, which can affect labour, the permits required in your area etc. For a fence about 6 ft high, solid planks, 100 ft long, it was about $1500 CA for myself. That includes permits, labour and variance ordinance which I did require.

Don't worry about the cost of the labour. You can always shop around and many handymen would be willing to do the work for a reasonable price. It's the cost of the lumber you have to worry about. Instead of Home Depot, look for a local lumber mill. They often have great prices, their lumber is of high quality and is less chemically-processed than what you'd find in the big box stores.
