Can you root a yucca plant from one of the foilage clusters?

Question:It appears to have a root-tip on the end of it, but I am not sure if this is really a root. I was just curious if anyone kew if you can stick it in water to root it?

Answers:
I'm assuming you mean one of the pups that appear around the base of the parent plant. These will readily grow into new plants, but don't put them in water. Just place the bottom tip in light potting soil, or even sand. Keep lightly moist and in a sunny place. Use some small stakes to hold it upright until it has its own roots.
