How much should a garden tap cost to install? I live in the south east.?

Good answers, I think you will not get much change from £100.
For a plumber? An arm and a leg.
£50.
I don't think that garden taps are THAT much cheaper in the north are they?
Anyway, depends on your pipes. If the plumber can come off the mains and straight through the kitchen wall it's only a couple of hours plus parts.. not far off 50 quid.

i done mine myself
Find a good friend if you can't do it yourself and it will only cost you the price of the raw materials from B&Q. Drill a hole in the wall, tap into your mains supply, making sure there is a u bend so there is no chance of ice backing up in winter and attach tap to outside wall.
It depends how far from the house/mains water.
As a rough estimate for you. I installed one on the outside wall of my house.
Cost of tap and fittings was £15
Cost of tools (I had to hire a drill) £15
Labour for an hour £40
.
You can buy DIY kits that you can install yourself for £10.00. Its easy as long as you can drill a hole through the wall and the installation is straight forward. If you employ someone to do it for you they could take up to two hours to do the job depending on the complexity of what they have to do - so say £90.
you can buy a tap kit for £6.99 really simple to fit ,at B&Q they even have work sheets step by step guide, have a look and if unsure ask, staff are helpful, good luck with that....cc.
i bought a out side tap couple weeks ago from woolworths cost me £14.99 if your able to do it yourself it dont cost you no more all the required parts are with it youll need a drill and the piece so you can drill the whole threw the wall do this on the outside wall were your kitchen sink is there is a piece then that you clamp on the water pipe from your sink usually the washing machine tighten this clamp and it will cut the the hole needed for the water to come threw then fasten the tap to the wall there will be instructions with the tap its not that diffacult honestly good luck
Not a lot but if my memory is correctly you are supposed to notify your water supplier and probably pay more for your water rates.
You can get a kit from B&Q for less than a tenner and do it yourself in less than an hour.

You can buy a home DIY kit that has a self tapping device that screws into the pipe.
