Why is my Zucchini Squash?

Question:turning yellow and shriveling up? I have had about a half dozen squash about 4-6in long and dk green. Then all the sudden they start turning yellow at the blossom end, getting soft and shriveling up? What should I do?

Answers:
Could you be over watering your plants? That will cause that. Are the plants getting at least 6 hours of sunlight? How do the leaves look on the plant? Are they yellowing too? Is the soil fertile or do you regularly fertilize them? Just thought I would give you some things to consider not knowing much about your garden. Hope this helps.

squash, zucchini and such are prone to virus and disease such as rot. make sure you rotate your crops and try not to plant the same variety of plants in the same location. You can check with your local extension office to see which plants are related and plant accordingly
