When will my 2 metre bisexual paw paw tree start flowering in brisbane? I planted it about 4 months ago.?

Question:

Answers:
Botanical name Carica papaya if you want to search for more info. My books say they fruit well when young, so obviously they don't need to be too old. We had a bisexual paw paw in our yard at Lismore when I was young and it was about 2.5 metres high and fruited well. They need sun or semi-shade. You don't need a mate for a a bisexual paw paw to fruit well. Just have to be patient, also the drought may be effecting it.

Jeez, it's tough to say...they are notoriously slow to do anything at all here in the states. They have to be planted in exactly the right place with lots of moisture and humidity and have to be installed as an understory tree on the side of a mountain, usually. I hope your pawpaw is not as picky as ours are because, boy, are they good eatin'.

PS, You know they sucker and form colonies when happy with their environment.

--You might consider more than just talking to this plant. Maybe you should sing and play guitar for it, too.
when you get that biitch a girlfriend of course!
