Lawnmower problem?

Question:Thinking I would be brave and cut the grass whilst the weather was nice the other day out came the mower. Unfortunately the mower went on a rampage and the metal blade underneath is bent, Oops - now the garden is half done, the other half is not happy and being clueless about where to get another blade from I am in the dog house. I did try to hammer it back into shape and I did think about returning it to argos but cant find the receipt. Its an orange one not a hovermower, has a grass box and a metal cutter. Please help!

Answers:
You must have been really keen to bend the blade. I've been a gardener for 20 years and I've never managed it!

Try a DIY place and ask for a spare blade. Make sure you get the make and model and take the details with you. If they can't help you they should be able to direct you to a place that can.

i,ve got a flock of sheep and i'll lend you a few while you mend the mower if you want
well ...you can get a new blade at any hardware store or home supply super store..I hope you didnt damage the bolt ..so you can change the blade..you might want to call them first..and bring in the blade..forget hammering it..the blade is off center and will become dangerous to use and your limbs and life is not worth a nice mowed lawn now is it..I think not...remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug and then tip the mower on its side and use a wrench to remove the blade..wear gloves..hold the blade and use the wrench at the same time..if your unable to do it..maybe you should wait for some help..fingers dont grow back..good luck..and next time use an illegal alien to do your lawn work..that why they are here..via mexico..
If you bent the blade, it sounds like you hit something quite substantial in the grass. After you have replaced the blade, but before you start to mow again, you might want to walk the area to be mowed and check for and remove/avoid anything that might damage the blade, such as large rocks, roots, tools, stumps, buried metal or concrete, etc. May save you the expense of another blade, and be far safer when you mow. Good luck!
Is the model you are using still in the Argos book, if so take it back and tell them either you got it in a present and don't have the receipt or you tell them you have lost the receipt. You wont get your money back but they will give you vouchers or an exchange. good luck. Remember to tell them this was the first time you used it!
Take the blade off and take it to a decent garage and they will straighten it for you
Try this link - B&Q stock replacement blades and you may order one online if it's a suitable replacement, a visit to their local store may stock more types.
Look for the receipt
Try a diy shop, they sell blades. Take the blade off of the mower and they will sort you with the right one.
I cannot see the shop taking it back as it is your fault the blade is bent.
You broke it.
You pay for it.
It would be dangerous to use as it is now.
Buy a new blade.
