Question:

Answers:
it bogs down the mower. it can even stall it out. i do not mow when wet.

I'm not answering what you asked, but I know now that riding mowers slip real bad on banks when just slightly wet. Mine did anyway, be careful.
The blade dulls very rapidly and the strain on the engine causes excessive wear to all moving parts.
The cutting deck will get clogged with grass...it's best to wait until it's dry...you will also get and uneven cut...
The mower will get clogged with grass clippings. Best to wait til it's dry.
Other than the big clumps of wet grass that are thrown out, not much. The only thing would be that the wet grass clings to the inside of the deck and gets matted. If its too much it could inhibit the motor from running smoothly and cause some bearing damage. But the rain doesn't hurt anything.
Main thing is clogging up the mower til it stops the motor.
I burned out a motor doing this
