Staghorn sumac viruses?

Question:I've got a Staghorn / Sumac whichever you wish to call it, growing in my backgarden which I've nurtured since it was a baby shrub. However, this summer, I've noticed little black spots on the main leaves of the tree. They've not really affected the health of the tree, but it doesn't look particularly nice.
Is this any sort of virus at all?

Answers:
Staghorn Sumac is prone to leaf spots (fungal and/or bacterial diseases). They are considered minor diseases; diseases that will not affect the overall health of the plant.

Sounds more like an insect pest.
leaf spot and/or rust. spray a fungicide
