I got beefsteak tomatoes blooming but when the blooms die they break the stems,What am I doing wrong n Ms.PLZ?

Question:ive never grown them b4,plz can someone help me. My pepper plants are doing great and they are next to my tomatoes.

Answers:
If the stems are breaking after the flower dies I can only assume that something is breaking the stems. The flowers die and fall off, and at times the tomato or flower may fall off at the stem...but the stem does not break.
If your stems are actually breaking, then something is breaking them...it not you that's doing something wrong.
It is also very possible you have a caterpillar living in there. The big green ones love to much on my tomato plants, and they destroy them. Take a look, they're hard to find and if he's there just relocate him to another area of your yard.

that happened to my tomato flowers at first. Now I have little green tomatoes.

give it a few weeks. I also use the new miracle grow liquifeed.
My plants are all huge.
I think I know what you mean by the stems breaking. You're referring to the flower stem. That could be many things from over to under watering or to lack of some nutrient. I would hit them with one spraying of Miracle Grow but not more as Miracle Grow can add salt to the soil and over time make it useless to later crops. You might also put a little epson salt worked into the soil beneath each plant.
