How do I get rid of surprise lilies?

Question:We are landscaping around our house and no longer want surprise lilies because they take up too much space. We thought we had gotten rid of them last year, but they came back. Any suggestions without killing everything else planted around them?

Answers:
Its best to dig the bulb out. You'll want to follow the stem to the ground, and then dig about a 2" circle around the base of the stem. Then it depends on how deep the bulb was originally planted.

In some instances, the bulb may have multiple stems, so you might have to dig around to get all of the bulb out.

Try pulling up the entire plant with the bulbs attached. Probally after it rains.
