Have a house plant will not grow it turns yellow and brown and then back to green what am i doing wrong?
Question:i know i dont warter the plant to much or to little but the plant want grow it is a vine plant. the edges are brown or yellow what is wrong?
Answers:
Sounds like it may need to be transplanted...then watered weekly. a schedule for watering interior plants works well. then you get to know how much it needs consistently.
the edges turn yellow and brown because the plant gets dry, then is over watered to compensate.
after transplanting, give it a few weeks to recover (as transplanting is a shock) then begin to fertilize it lightly. you should have good looking plant in about two months.
hope this helps.
Maybe it needs more sun light.
Usually too much water.
I know you think you are not watering too much, but cut it by 50%.
When it works, you will know you WERE wattering too much.
maybe it needs to be repotted. if you're sure that you're watering it properly.
It sounds like it may need to be put in a larger pot with fresh soil. Not knowing what kind of a plant it is makes it hard to tell you about the watering. Put your knuckle in the pot and if it is wet then do not water it. Give it sun and some liquid fertilizer. Most people do not feed their plants and they need it to grow just like you. Do not put it next to a window as the sun will burn it. If you can put it outside in indirect sunlight for a while and then give it more when it adjusts. Happy gardening!
Sounds like you are watering it too much and maybe sometimes not enough. I would suggest repotting it in something with good drainage and large enough to allow new growth then get it on a good watering scheduel. If the water absorbs very fast it was thirsty. If it drains slowly it doesn't need that much water.
