How do you grow jalapeño peppers starting from the seed.?

Question:I live in central Ohio so you get an idea of the climate conditions

Answers:
You need to start them indoors about the middle of January or Early February latest.Get some 2" peat pots place them in a old cake pan and water from the bottom up.Meaning keep 1/2 inch water in the pan first 3 weeks.Place the seeds in the peat pots and set in a sunny window.Spray them with a water/fertilizer mix every 4-5 days. You'll have beautiful plants to set out in May.

I lived in Toledo for many years. I usually strated my seeds inside and transplanted later (a couple weeks after last frost). They grow like anything else. Just plant to recommended depth (I believe it is 1/4") and water regularly. Thin after they get growing.
I'm in Toledo, and it may be too late. Just pick some plants up from the garden center. Also, If you mean you have seeds from a pepper you bought, they're probably hybrid and won't reproduce true,
