Creeeping Charley?

Question:How do i get rid of creeping charley and not kill my lawn. this is the the little green leaf with a tiny purple flower that will take over the yard if not treated.

Answers:
depends on the grass type you have. i like to pull weeds (great therapy) and have managed to eradicate it that way.but if you can't i would suggest you call a lawn care company that sprays weed control and fertilizer. they should be able to get rid of it in one or two applications...unless you have st. augustine grass...which is sensitive to most chemicals.
hope this helps.

I use Ortho's Weed B Gone.

Creeping Charlie is tuff stuff. You may have to spray it two or three times, a few days apart.
My boyfriend claims Round Up will do it, but he has yet to actually spray the stuff (me, I mow but I don't do chemicals). The upside of creeping charlie is that I saw some in a hanging basket, I kid you not, in the garden center at Walmart. So, if you can't kill yours, you might have a lucrative career selling it.

No, I have NO idea why on earth anyone would _buy_ creeping charlie, but there it was, I had to check the tag on it several times before I believed it myself.
Maybe its Creeping Flox and you might want to keep it as a border or focal point. Use hedge clippers, the old fashioned kind you use by hand. You can shape it the way you want it. I do.
