Does Cocoa Chip Husks attract flies? How can I get rid of the flies?

Question:I live in Northern Illinois I laid cocoa husk chips around my rose bushes and I started to water the roses over the last 3-5 days there has been an increase of flies around the chips and the surrounding area like 30 or 50 flies.

Answers:
Use a product by Bayer called 3-in-1 for roses. It will kill the insects, help control fungii (like black spot) and give essential nutrients to your roses. I have had great results with this product.

Good luck.
