Do the little rolly polly bugs eat plants like snails and slugs do? Remedy?

They eat newly sprouted vegetation and decaying matter. At normal population levels, their impact is negligible, perhaps being slightly more beneficial than negative. They don't harm healthy, more mature plants at all like slugs and snails do.
