I have a pond in the backyard. It has (weeds) growing on the edges with little yellow flowers.?

Question:What are they and how do I get rid of them. It seems they grow from the shore out into the water.

Answers:
You have water primrose (Ludwigia hexapetala). Verify with these photos:

Then read about water primrose here:

Rodeo herbicide (glyphosate) is said to be effective against this plant. Interestingly, I am TRYING to get water primrose to grow around my pond. Most people (i.e., everyone else!) considers it a nuisance.

Good luck!

Pour star fire or gramoxone in several places on the edge of your pond in the water. Use extreme caution when handling this product.
