I am growing broad beans and wondering how i can speed the growing process organically?

Question:

Answers:
Broad beans are a cool weather plant. Once the weather heats up, growth slows dramatically. So, you could try planting earlier in the spring, or wait to plant until the weather cools again.

You might try adding alfalfa to the soil, either as a mulch or from alfalfa pellets from the feed store (ask if they have moleasses..you don't want the sweet stuff as it attracts ants.) Alfalfa has a natural growth stimulant.

If flowers have appeared, nip out the tips of the plants so all the nutrients go into the developing pods.
i found that planting them in november(in the uk)is a great way i have my broad beens poking there heads through while there is snow on the ground and i allways have a good crop.
