How do you cut back a peace lily plant?

Question:

Answers:
You don't. Not unless you want to kill it. What you do do with this plant is- take out of pot or ground and divide it. Then cut roots back, and re-plant. The only thing you can do safely is to remove dead stalk and old lily head. And it is better to spray water on foliage, than water below. Good Luck!

weedeater ?
I agree w/ Wheeza7..Only cut back if needed, it is a tropical plant...cut off undesirable looking leaves. Dust or spray w/water often to insure intake of oxygen to leaves.
You don´t want to cut off the leaves, because they are helping the bulb to gather strength to store for next season´s flowers.
you dont cut back lilies, they die down to the ground in autumn, then fresh growth in spring
