Whats the best way to fix burned grass from dog urine?
Question:

Water the areas thoroughly to flush it out. To get grass to grow, you need to put down some topsoil and grass seed. Do not put the seed right down on the dead grass, because it won't grow. Grass patch won't work well either.
I have 3 dogs, and know what you're looking at every day.
Get a bag of topsoil and some good seed from your local garden center. Water the areas each day until the grass comes up (7-10 days).
Good luck!
sprinkle tide laundry soap on the area to neutralize it
I don't know how to fix it but to prevent more add yucca to your dogs food. I just read this in a newspaper article.
The grass is "burned" because there is a high content of nitrogen, dont sprinkle laundry detergent to neutralize it...its not acidic, its basic. The only way to fix this is to water the surrounding area and flush the soil basically. The urine is ok for the grass, but obviously your(or someone elses) dog has been peeing in the same area for quite some time, or the area recieves infrequent watering.
