BUSH! My butterfly bush has fading blooms-should I deadhead or not?

Question:Does it help it get bushier and bloom more is what I'm asking.

Answers:
YES & YES! When you cut the spent bloom off, usually two more flower spikes will appear at either side of the the cut bloom. In my opinion, you will have a bushier and prettier blooming bush if you cut some of the bigger stalks WAY back - like to 6 or 8 inches tall. I use the triangle pattern. In 2 weeks I'll cut the opposite triangle way back - by then the first stalks I have cut have reached a great new bushier and heavily blooming height.

Hope this helps!

Yes! Any flower benefits from getting the dead flowers taken off. It is like you getting a hair cut it makes your hair healthier and grow faster. Give it a shot of fertilizer and water and you should get more blooms. Just cut off the buds down to the next set of leaves. Good Luck!
Yeah, you want to dead head once the color is gone and it will help grow bushier and get more blooms. Aren't they great?
