Hi

You did nor specify which colour ones. If they are black, they will cause no harm. If you mean the red ones, then you may use some kerosene diluted in water and powdered soap. Throw the mixture over them, you will have some peace for sometime.

Cheers

YOU CANT,We have ants and they can take over housing estates for miles.the neighbours have them and friends over the street have them too
pestasides.
but they really aren't good for the grass and won't keep the ants away permenantly. but ants are a fact of life, and nothing will keep them away forever, just try the pestasides (local garden stores) and don't put out sweet foods and/or anything that will attract them.
x
lemon juice, they do hate it!
Nothing is permanent. You may get rid of them for a short time but they will be back. Ants have very few natural enemies and will thrive in even in poor conditions. To kill them you can try ant powder sold in garden centres, etc., but they will only make your lawn look like it's snowed. And the rain will just wash it away, and you have to do it all over again. To be more effective, look for their nests and attack them there.
If you really want to get away from them for good, you will have to move to a cold, barren country. In the UK, you can discourage them by not planting fruit trees and plants that attract green/black flies which they milk for the sweet sap.
Although there is nothing to permanently keep ants from moving into your lawn; there is some very good products at your Home & Garden store(s) like Lowe's; Home Depot; Wal-Mart; etc..Just go to one of these stores and ask Customer Service to assist you in finding the product(s) you need for removing those ants from your lawn.
A method my granny used to use and has worked for me is to pour boiling water over them (the central nest) - a good couple of kettlefuls until you cant see a single one!
Call a pro,My company performs exterior granular bait treatments that are guaranteed for a year. Most products for sale to the general public get few results,The bait is safe for your family and pets.
pour boilling warter all over them that gets rid of them!
You can`t. They start new nests every year. Why would you want to get rid of them anyway?
I live in an area where t`s too cold for them. You could try moving if you`re that desperate
LMAO is correct. You will never totally get rid of the little buggers. The will return in time. Pesticides is the only way to get rid of them for now. I have an ant problem and have done for years. As long as they stay out of my house i aint to bothered and they are eating all the greenfly/blackfly on my plants so its not all bad.
