Hayseeds hang out around most small towns. No really, what kind of hay? In any rural area there should be places that specialize in seed for farmers. Check your yellow pages. Alfalfa hay is a perennial plant seeded evrey few years. Coastal and other grass hays are sprigged or sown and grown as perennials also. Oat and clover hay are sowen in fall. Sudan and sorgum and their hybrids can be sown now. Haygrazer is a common one which makes huge yeilds but is not suitable for horses causing various health problems if fed too much. Hegari (pronounced "Hi Gear") is an old favorite that horses and catttle can eat. Red Top Cane is another favorite for those who want seeds to fall out for wildlife. Again check yellow pages for farm seed suppliers or go to the local feed store and ask who sells farm seed.
