When do i harvest oregano?

You can do it anytime. If the plant is still small and young, go easy and only take a few leaves as you need them so it will continue to grow nicely. Once oregano gets going, especially with a surplus of space to grow into, it behaves like a weed and you can almost hear it grow!

A lot of herbs are like that. My mother has a catnip which has sucked up the rain and overtaken a good chunk of her garden. It looks like a green VW Beetle.

you can harvest it when it gets 6inches to 1 foot tall
I harvest mine as i need it,i pinch off the flower heads to
you can pick the leaves as it gets to about four inches. if you want to harvest it and dry it (not as good as having fresh in the window box) you wait until it is almost gone to seed. You can tell them time, because it will start to spike longer stems for the flowers to grow on.
