I have had a sega palm outdoors, in a large pot for over a year. Can I or should I re-plant it in the ground?
Question:The palm is doing well but I have no idea how long it will continue to do well in the pot.
Answers:
Sago palms, if planted in the ground, require a tropical, subtropical or Mediterranian climate and excellent drainage. I vote for the pot.
do you mean sago palm? well if you put the plant it in the ground, it will grow bigger and healthier, and if you leave it in the pot, you will have to replant it in a pot every 2 to 3 years, so its ur choice
you could keep it in a pot.if you put it in the ground choose a spot wisely. the roots can lift a house or break plumbing.
